Hootie and the Blowfish

Who is Darius Rucker he was born May 13, 1966 He first came to the publics attention as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the rock band Hootie & the Blowfish.

Capitol Records Nashville made a surprise move in 2008, signing Darius as a country music artist, releasing the album Learn to Live that year. Its first three singles "Don't Think I Don't Think About It", "It Won't Be Like This for Long" and "Alright" all reached Number One on the U.S. Hot Country Songs chart, followed by the #3 "History in the Making." The album itself has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for U.S. shipments of one million copies. Charleston, SC 1966, is Darius's second album for Capitol being released October 2010.
