Rustie Blue.

if you haven’t yet heard of this country diva you don’t know what you’ve been missing. good looking, with long red hair fantastic figure and that’s the bad parts, she sings the socks off most artist out there, a great country voice and this album brings out the best in her vocal ranges.

15 country tracks not a dud amongst them, a duet with Whisperin Bill Anderson and an acoustic tribute to Dolly Parton, dance tracks that will have you jumping up and dancing your favourite routines, quieter tracks that will have you drifting off into that place that only a good country song can take you. One of the best albums I’ve heard for a long time, what’s even better the more you hear it the more you like it.

Album Review - Chip Chip

The songs on this album have been written by some of the top songwriters in the business

The songs on this album have been written by some of the top songwriters in the business and one track was written by Rustie herself. The quality oozes out of every groove.

Track 1 Chip Chip, duet with Whisperin Bill Anderson already got a dance written to it fun song that sums up how some relationships just settle down into that rut. I bet you can’t stop yourself singing the chorus! Song written by Bill Anderson/Melba Montgomery

Track 2 Tomorrow Tonight a slow number written by Bill Anderson & Debroah Allen, a song about a new relationship do you just go for it or do you worry about what might come. I just love a good love song and this makes you go all dreamy.

Track 3 Cloud of Dust This track has got a great dance written to it by Setsuko Motoki of Japan, which shows how far Rustie’s influence is spreading. A real toe tapper written by Judy Rodman/Tom Daphier. About a relationship where one partner’s not really giving it 100%.

Track 4 The Same Old Who a complete change of Tempo here a real Western Barn Dance number, written by Eddie Drake a love lost story, can’t get over you! This is what country music was invented for Rustie sounds so convincing you just want to comfort her.

Track 5 The Devil May Care. For me this is the Top track on the album a real get on the floor number Rustie belts these out like this was what she was born to do. written by Becky Hobbs/Don Goodman. A song about not caring once you’re lovers cheated on you. You’ll love this one, The dance World of Blue fits perfectly.

Track 6 When I Remember You. Another track that has a dance written to it. A mid tempo number about thinking about that special person in your life. A real classy love song, written by Bill Anderson, Sharon Vaughn, Bobby Tomberlain.

Track 7 Before I Fall. another Bill Anderson, this one co written with K Louvin, a finger snapping get on the dance floor track, about a girl wanting to know where she stands before she falls. The Dance Sweet Talk or IOU or Still The One

Track 8 Oh Baby. Another dance track just waiting for a dance to be written. a tongue twister in the vein of The Auctioneer. written by Richard Fagan and Buffy Lawson.

Track 9 Two Left Feet. This song must have been written after watching me dance. All you ladies will know what this songs about. a clever little dance number. written by Marlee Davis & Jerry Webb

Track 10 Don’t Come Cryin’. Setsuko Motoki has written a really clever dance to this track. A song about not wanting to be used by someone as a stop gap while their real love messes them about. Written by bobbie Adkins

Track 11 Do Me A Favor another Becky Hobbs/Don Goodman song, The dance Walk Right on By specially written by DJ Dan & Wynette Miller fits this a treat. A nice swingy feel about realising your much better off with out ‘em.

Track 12 Honky Tonk Diva the only self penned song on the album you only need to write one when you write them this good a real floor filler of a track. actually co written with Mike Headrick. A new dance by DJ Dan & Wynette Miller has been written for This one

Track 13 Down To The Letter. Billy Yates /Aaron Scherz wrote this number, a leave the SOB a goodbye letter. a good listening track.

Track 14 Smokey Mountain Queen, An acoustic tribute to Dolly Parton, with a dance already written a lovely listening or dancing track. Mike Headrick/Teri Headrick wrote this one all about the queen of country music Dolly Parton lovely song one of the problems with tribute songs is they can get mushy this one manages to sing Dollies’ praises without sounding trite.

Track 15 Satisfied Rusty started out in Gospel and this song goes back to her roots, written by Martha Carson. an uplifting gospel song to finish a great album.
