For what seemed like an eternity, blue-eyed country soul singer Julie Roberts sat just a few feet away from the man who could make all of her dreams come true. But she never uttered a word to him about it.
Julie moved to Nashville after graduating from Belmont University. Taking a job at Mercury Records she was able to support herself while pursuing her goal of becoming a country singer. She spent all her spare time perfecting her songwriting skills and performing at various venues around Nashville.
During the day she was assistant to Luke Lewis, Chairman of Universal Music Group Nashville, at nights she was the protege of producer Brent Rowan.
It was during a session in 2003 that Rowan met with Lewis he played him a few demos that Julie had recorded and the rest as they say is history.
