John Anderson

born in 1955 at Apopka, Florida some say one of the most sincere, intelligent and finest singers to grace a stage.

Starting out in a rock band Living End, John moved to Nashville where after working part time for several years he was signed by Warner Bros in 1977 not long after he was churning out hit after hit with songs like Your Lying Blue Eyes, 1959, I'm just an Old Chunk of Coal, I Just Came home to catch the memories, Would you catch a falling star and Swingin to name a few.

Often described as being a singer in the Lefty Frizzell s mold and this can be heard quite clearly on his cover of Lefty's hit I Love You a Thousand Ways.

He quite clearly demonstrates an ability to master both old and new country and has done some excellent duets with both Emmy Lou Harris and Merle Haggard. The Waltz you saved for me and with Merle on Frizzell's long black veil.

More recently John's hits have included Seminole Wind, Money In The Bank, Straight Tequila Night, My Kind of Crazy.

You will be hard pressed to find a better singer with a straight country vocal style.
