Born in 1950 on a 40 acre farm near South Whitley, Indiana, as Jane Marie Fricke she made her breakthrough after singing for years on commercials and as a backing singer to the stars.
Probably one of the most liked and respected talents in Nashville, she like lots of country artist grew up singing in her local church.
She moved to Nashville in 1975 and sang on over a 1000 albums for artist ranging from Tanya Tucker to jimmy Swaggart. She sang duets with Johnny Duncan and had three number one hits before finally getting the recognition that her talent deserved.
Her top country hits include Please Help Me I'm Falling, Pass Me By and I'll Need Someone To Hold Me.
She also sang duets with such country greats as Charlie Rich, George Jones and Merle Haggard. During the 80's she toured with the Statler Brothers.
