Country Artist - David Frizzell
David, the younger brother of the legendary Lefty Frizzell was born in Texas in 1941. In his early years he toured with Lefty and in the 60's recorded on his brother's label.
Joining up with Shelley West the daughter of that other famous singer Dottie West they had a smash hit with 'You're The Reason God Made Oklahoma', this song was featured in the Clint Eastwood movie Any Which Way You Can,
He followed this hit with Texas State of Mind and the song that finally attracted a lot of attention I'm gonna hire a wino to decorate our home.
Always aware of the family comparisions he entitled one of his albums The Family's Fine but This One's Mine.
