Country Music Artist - Ann Marita

Ann-Marita a Norwegian beauty who has travelled around the world to acheive her ambition. This nine track album was started in Los Angeles and finished in Australia. Some artist would let the gaps show but all credit to her and the Australian artist and studios who brought it all together.

Another modern country album with songs about heartbreak, depression and loss not a mention of honky tonks, trucks or such, but country is about singing songs that tell a story and Ann-Marita does it well. Having written every song herself, when she sings you can hear the experiences coming back.

Album Review

Track 1. Class of 93 - A sad story about what happens to friends after graduation etc. The dancers will recognise a good Tush Push when they hear it.

Track 2. Face In The Crowd - A story about love gone wrong - Dancers try Haunted Heart.

Track 3. Alive & Kicking - A title that say's it all how good it is to be alive, a groovy little number (can't believe I used that phrase, showing my age.) Dancers nice up tempo Black Coffee.

Track 4. (no slowing the) Hands of Time - A meloncholy song about getting old and not being able to do the things you once did. A nice slow cha cha for the dancers

Track 5. The Ex Boyfriend Song - A modern all girl's together song. A rocky beat this kind of song works well for Shania I don't see why it shouldn't work for Ann-Marita.

Track 6. That Girl - A change of tempo to a slowish love ballad.

Track 7. More Than Meets The Eye - I get a feeling this is a song about herself, telling you how deep she can be, how strong, how weak. You need to look past the outer package to find the true depths. My favourite from the album really like this number.

Track 8. You Said Forever - The only waltz on the album a total change of style this is going back to how country used to sound. Yet has a modern feel, Dancers can do their favourite waltz to this.

Track 9. Sounds Good To Me - Getting down and getting on jumps to my mind when I hear this song, country with a bluesy feel.

Well there you have it, 9 tracks all self penned and no duds, some are stronger than others that's for certain, that doesn't mean any are bad. This girl can sing, and she looks good. She has the talent to go the distance the rest is upto you, go out and buy the album, you won't be wasting your money.
